He has an interest in injury prevention and is pursuing a masters on the relationship between protective equipment and injury prevention in snowboarders. During his spare time has been actively involved in the Rural Doctors Association for a number of years - currently the Vice President (industrial) of RDAA, and the immediate Past President of RDAV. With his various interests he could never be accused of putting his head in the sand, but is always on the look out for practical demonstrations of injury prevention in the winter months.
